Hayley is a northern Michigan native and a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a degree in Political Science and Environmental Sustainability.
While in college, Hayley worked for a Michigan State House of Representatives campaign, knocking doors and talking to voters. After working on the successful campaign, Hayley interned in State Representative Donna Lasinski's office, focusing on constituent correspondence and hosting local events.
After graduating, Hayley moved to the Bay Area for the Americorps CivicSpark Fellowship Program, which aims to build capacity in local governments. Hayley worked in Fremont in the Alameda County Water District's Water Conservation Department, learning about the issues surrounding water in California and promoting water conservation within the community.
While she loved working in public service, she missed the exciting world of politics. Hayley joined TBWB in 2019 and is excited by the fast-paced environment of campaigns, seeing positive change in communities and learning more about public finance ballot measures. Hayley currently lives in Oakland and in her free time she tries to explore as much of the Bay Area and California as possible.
