A California native, Annie grew up in south Orange County and attended high school in the Silicon Valley. Annie went on to attend the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History. Annie made her first foray into campaigning as a member of the Yes on Measure GG parcel tax campaign team for Los Altos School District in the fall of 2016.
Throughout her time at UC Berkeley, Annie gained firsthand political experience through internships in Washington, D.C. with Congresswoman Jackie Speier and Senator Dianne Feinstein. Annie was also heavily involved with Cal in the Capital, UC Berkeley’s Washington, D.C. summer program, and coordinated prestigious internships for 70 students for the summer of 2016. As an advocate for women’s rights, Annie was a member of UC President Janet Napolitano’s Task Force on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence and worked with students and administrators across the UC system to revise outdated and insufficient sexual harassment and violence policies.
Upon graduation, Annie remained in the Bay Area and joined TBWB in May 2017. As the daughter and granddaughter of teachers, Annie is passionate about K-12 funding and understands the importance of well-funded public goods. When she’s not working on campaigns, Annie spends her free time cooking, reading, watching Seinfeld and visiting local beaches.
