Michael Montoya

Art Director

Michael has over two decades of experience as a design professional. Over the course of his career, he has successfully executed several major campaigns for various San Francisco and Silicon Valley companies, PR firms and larger advertising agencies.

He moved to the Bay Area in 1985 to attend San Jose State University, graduating with a B.S. in Graphic Design. His career in advertising began at MWA Creative, an award winning Palo Alto advertising agency. After seven years and the undertaking of many different roles, including that of Art Director, Michael left to start his own company, MMGD, a design firm specializing in brand development and new media in 1995. He joined TBWB full time in October 2007.

Michael brings the unique combination of analytical thinking and creative exploration to the problem solving process. His passion for effective communication is apparent in each and every project.

A native Californian, Michael hails from Bakersfield and resides in San Francisco.
