City of Campbell

Local Marijuana Policy and Tax Measures

Issue: A local petition placed Measure B on the ballot in Campbell, which would have allowed the introduction of medical marijuana dispensaries without allowing the City enough time to study how to regulate them or their effects on traffic and safety.

TBWB’s Impact: TBWB Strategies helped the City place two additional measures on the ballot, Measure A and Measure C. These measures were designed to regulate dispensaries, study their effects on the community and establish a tax on marijuana sales that benefited local public safety services. In April 2017, Measure A and Measure C successfully passed and Measure B failed, allowing Campbell to establish a smart, effective marijuana policy.
