Background
Located in California’s San Joaquin Valley, Delta CCD includes all or part of 5 counties, ranging from the Sierra foothills to the valley floor. The diverse geography and residents of the district meant that passage of their proposed $250 Million Bond Measure L would require a carefully planned and well-executed campaign plan.
In mid-december 2003, following six months of work with another consultant, the college campaign’s leaders contacted our firm less than three months before Election Day and hired us to take over and run the Measure L campaign. Working with an extremely dedicated group of local activists and a committed finance committee, we were able to help the committee define the message, build small local campaign efforts throughout the district, and raise more than $300,000 to communicate with the voters we needed to win. |
